The Dragons of the Valley

Nesting among the highest sheer obsidian spires in the eastern valley, the Shadowhunter has broken more arrogant cadets than any other unbonded beast. It respects mind above muscle and cunning over noise.

Born in the subterranean magma vents beneath the Citadel peaks, the Pyrewarden is the embodiment of ancient militaristic pride. It demands unyielding valor from its bonded rider.

Roams the cloud banks above the valley rim during violent squalls, feeding on charged atmospheric ions. It bonds only with souls whose temper reflects the chaos of the gale.

Carved out of bedrock valleys, the Ironclad has stood sentinel over cadet generations. It bonds with protectors whose primary drive is the preservation of their allies.

Dwelling in the permanent snowpacks of the northern ridge, the Frostweaver observes cadets from frozen perches, reading intention in every footstep.

The Dawnguard descends only when a cadet shows genuine empathy balanced with iron resolve. It is revered in flight lore as the companion of legendary wing leaders.

Rarely spotted even during full Threshing days, the Voidwalker phases through canyon shadows. It seeks out outliers—those who refuse every preordained path.

The Bloodfang nests in the Blood Gullies where unbonded cadets often perish. Only those with fierce primal survival instinct have ever walked away bonded.
