Dragon Counters — Who Beats Who

Dragon battles in the Threshing Game are decided by two counter cycles. If your dragon's color beats the enemy color, its damage is multiplied by 1.25; if it is beaten, damage drops to 0.85. The same applies to tail types — so a “weaker” breed that counters on both axes can dismantle a higher-power opponent.

Color counter chart

The six colors form two triangles: Red beats Green beats Blue beats Red, and Orange beats Brown beats Black beats Orange.

Tail counter chart

Tail types form a pentagon: Swordtail beats Scorpiontail beats Clubtail beats Morningstartail beats Daggertail beats Swordtail.

How to use counters

A perfect counter hits both multipliers at once — a Red Swordtail fighting a Green Scorpiontail deals ×1.25 on color and ×1.25 on tail before stats are even compared. Faction momentum adds a further ×1.05 swing for the faction winning this week's war. The exact damage formula is documented in how dragon battles work.
